We are currently recruiting for three positions which will ultimately form part of our fourth landscaping team

  • Site Supervisor 

  • Team Leader

  • Landscaper

The creation and maintenance of our gardens, grounds, and other outdoor spaces (including log cabins, roof gardens and summerhouses) would be a difficult task without the highly skilled and superb staff (and sub-contractors) we use.

For this reason, Stephen Charles Landscapes invest in our staff to ensure we are able to offer the best possible service to all our clients regardless of which service they require.

 

Background

Stephen Charles Landscapes have developed over the last three decades. Whilst initially our expansion meant that we offered consultancy services throughout a wide area, we quickly realised that a smaller area was more effective as it enabled us to offer that more personalised service.

We have now made ourselves one of the finest gardening firms in the country, offering a design build, landscaping, and garden maintenance including architectural gardening services, consultancy services as well as both commercial and private practice, and school and nursery grounds. We have achieved this through our specialist expertise and skill, something which stands us out from our competitors. We have a lot of resources available through our unique connections. This sometimes enables us, where possible, to offer discounts in materials that other firms are often unable to do, putting us well placed in a highly competitive market.

Stephen Charles Landscapes derive from a small family run business. Over the years we have expanded to include specialist gardeners with a good sound knowledge, who both have the initiative to work under their own steam, whilst being able to work as part of a team.

 

Our Requirements

Stephen Charles Landscapes have achieved our success through attracting the best people and providing an excellent service to our clients. 

This means that each person that works with us must be fully committed to continuing to develop and broaden their skills, as well as have good communication skills to enable them to give the best to our clients.

Stephen Charles Landscapes actively seek to continuously expand their quality of professionalism. This means that anyone we take on must have the ambition to be the best and make a commitment to continuing delivering a quality of service that our clients are used to and now expect. They must be punctual, be able to work both on their own and as part of a team, as well as have a generally good knowledge of gardening requirements.  Our hours of operation vary according to seasonal needs and consequently long days should be expected.

This does mean that for paid positions within our firm, we do require the submission of two references which will be undertaken before you commence any work with us, as well as a trial day. It would be helpful if you were able to drive. However, this is not an absolute requirement.
