The Process

  • We will carry out an initial inspection of your tree.

  • Within 7 days, we will provide you with an assessment of the works required, a specification of the works, and an estimate for the cost of carrying out the works. This is a free quotation.

  • You accept the quotation and make a deposit payment.

  • If you require us to submit the applications, we will submit them upon written confirmation of your instructions. Where applications need to be made to the council, this will take up to six weeks unless it is an emergency, in which case quicker time limits do apply.

  • While this is being done, we will carry out a risk assessment and produce a method statement and emergency plan.

  • Once we have received confirmation from the council that the tree work can proceed, we can commence the work. Where you wish to obtain the permissions, we will need a copy of the letters from the council for our insurance records.

NB  This is important for you as the client, as if the correct paperwork is not in place, the client can become liable for third party claims, action from the Health and Safety Executive, and stringent penalties from planning authorities, usually in excess of £2000.00.

  • Work can commence; if the second deposit payment has not been made, this will be due before the work commences.

  • Once the work finishes, the final payment will be due.

Staff Training

All our arborists will have the relevant certificates of competence of the tasks which they are to undertake and are either part of an ongoing career development program or attend regular refresher training.
